Position Summary

We’re seeking several Registered Nurses experienced in Acute Mental Health to join Cooinda, the coast's leading mental health unit. 

 

Remuneration Value: $36.31 - $ 46.67 p/h (FTE $71,749 - $92,220) + Super + NFP Salary Packaging + Shift Penalties + Allowances + Free Parking

The Cooinda Mental Health inpatient unit is a state-of-the-art 33-bed acute unit for those aged 18 and over. With private, well-equipped rooms, patients have use of the dining room, laundry, lounge areas, visitors' lounge, outdoor areas, music room, art and craft room, therapy rooms and gymnasium. Our service provides assessment and evidence-based treatment for patients experiencing, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)/trauma, eating disorders, psychotic disorders, addictions, complex needs due to a mental illness, as well as young adult and older persons mental health needs.

 

The Role:

 

As part of our Cooinda team, you will accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. You’ll deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team, applying exceptional communication and customer service skills. You’ll demonstrate:

 

  • Minimum of 12 months’ experience in an acute mental health
  • Bachelor of nursing degree or equivalent and AHPRA registration
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality improvements
  • Desire for ongoing professional development
  • Flexibility to work full rotating roster

Selection Criteria Essential: Recent experience in the acute mental health setting (Hospital environment)
Essential: Ability to work flexibly across a 24/7 roster,
