Position Summary

We’re seeking expressions of interest from Registered Nurses to join the Infection Control team at The Wesley Hospital in a casual capacity.


The Role:


The Wesley Infection Control team are looking for a Registered Nurse to cover holiday relief. You will need to be available for day shifts Monday to Friday. 


The tasks you will undertake will include:

  • Attend chart reviews and enter reports into Riskman
  • Provide advice regarding vaccine preventable illnesses and administer vaccines
  • Record staff health and immunisation data in the staff health screens in Chris21
  • Conduct staff and patient education on infection control and prevention
  • Obtain or Maintain auditor status with Hand Hygiene Australia, audit compliance with hand hygiene, enter and retrieve data from the Hand Hygiene Australia web-based database,

You will Need:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health practitioner Regulation Agency
  • The ability to work in accordance with the values and code of conduct of The Wesley Hospital
  • The ability to communicate well with others
  • The ability to work well in a team environment
