Position Summary

With 524 beds, The Wesley Hospital provides tertiary level medical and surgical services across 30 specialty areas including cardiology, urology, neurosurgery, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, maternity and women’s health. These services are supported by an intensive care unit, coronary care unit, cardiac catheter theatres, 24-hour emergency centre, renal dialysis, radiology, radiation therapy, pathology, pharmacy services, IVF, haematology and oncology services.


We are currently seeking applications for multiple Patient Services Officers to join our casual team! The role will be responsible for the provision of quality service to stakeholders, patients and visitors through providing administrative support across a number of areas in the hospital. 


Ideally you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience working in hospital or medical practice administration
  • Knowledge of private health funds
  • Knowledge of Cerner, SAP and Genie Software
  • Understanding and ability to work in a highly confidential environment;
  • Proven ability to work within a team environment and to meet deadlines;
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills; ability to multitask and work unsupervised, quickly and efficiently;
  • Computer literacy skills at an intermediate level with excellent numeracy and data entry skills;
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with the ability to liaise with a wide range of hospital staff;

Please note: flexibility to work across 24 hour / 7 day roster will be an essential requirement of this role.
