The Wesley Hospital, Orderly team is seeking expressions of interest from current employees for the following role –

• Orderly
• Casual

As an Orderly with The Wesley Hospital you will be responsible for: 

• Ensuring patient safety during procedures and transfers;
• Handling of hospital equipment according to manufacturer’s and hospital instructions;
• Demonstrating safe manual handling techniques and the effective use of mechanical lifting aids;
• Understanding hospital emergency procedures;
• Following hospital guidelines in relation to Infection Control (including hand washing and waste disposal;
• Assisting nursing team members with various patient procedures. 

Ideally, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following criteria:

• Good Interpersonal skills;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to work as part of a team with or without supervision;
• Ability to perform under pressure and prioritise workload;
• Be available for shifts at short notice and at varying times.
