Buderim Private Hospital is inviting applications from experienced Clinical Nurse Managers to apply for permanent full time position within our Scrub/Scout Unit.

You will have the opportunity to diversify your case-mix with acute trauma patients coming through from the Buderim Emergency Centre as well as a leadership team focussed on your development.

 

 

About Your Role:

Buderim Private Hospital is currently seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to join the team. This is a great opportunity to form part of the new Leadership Team at a hospital that provides a wide range of surgical services performed in a state-of-the-art operating theatre complex.

 

Reporting to the Peri-operative Services Manager, you will be responsible for the operational management and leadership of the Scrub/Scout department, including staffing and clinical service delivery whilst working within budget. You will effectively apply principles of management to achieve departmental, hospital and organisation-wide goals, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through advancing the standard of nursing care delivered to patients.

 

 

About You:

As an advanced Clinician, you will demonstrate exceptional skills in scrub/scout nursing, passion for leading a broad, multi-disciplinary team and strong patient advocacy. The successful applicant will ideally present with the following:

  • Bachelor of Nursing Degree or Equivalent
  • Current and unconditional APHRA registration
  • 5+ years’ experience in an Scrub/Scout Unit
  • 2+ years Management experience
  • Knowledge of or experience in the principals of the Studer “Living Values” model of healthcare

Essential: Are you currently AHPRA registered?
Essential: Ability to work a 24/7 roster
Essential: Minimum 2 years clinical experience in similar setting/role
Essential: Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and mentorship to other Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Assistant Nurses
Not Essential: Please confirm your base salary / hourly rate expectations, excluding superannuation and salary packaging benefits.
