Position Summary

We’re inviting applications from qualified Psychologists to join our team in a fixed-term full time capacity, supporting our Persistent Pain Management Programs and Clinical Outpatient Services


Remuneration Value (Level dependent on experience): 

  • Level 2 Rate: $39.46 - $48.50 p/h (FTE $77,972 - $95,836)
  • Level 3 Rate: $50.78 - $54.84 p/h (FTE $100,341 - $108,363)
  • + Super + $15,900 NFP Salary Packaging Value + Shift Penalties/Allowances + Discounted Onsite Parking (+25% Casual Loading)

Our Allied Health Service employs a range of professionals who work as a multi-disciplinary team to provide our patients with "whole person" health care, providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services in many clinical areas. Our team work across our two inner-city hospitals, including St Andrews War Memorial Hospital & The Wesley Hospital.


The Role:

Due to maternity leave, we’re currently seeking a Psychologist to support our Persistent Pain Management Programs and Outpatient Services in a full-time capacity until February 2023.


Joining our allied health professionals at The Wesley Pain and Spine Centre, you will provide group-based programs for people with persistent pain, as well as private consultations for outpatients, in collaboration with pain medicine physicians.


You will assist your patients to identify and learn coping strategies to manage their physical and/or mental health symptoms, working collaboratively to tailor and create individual treatment plans. Modalities may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Treatment.


You will Need:

  • Tertiary Degree in Psychology
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum of two years post graduate experience
  • Experience or an interest in persistent pain management
  • Skills within ACT, BCT and Mindfulness
  • Experience working in individual and small group settings
