Position Summary

An exceptional leadership opportunity exists with one of the largest not-for-profit private hospitals in Australia. We are currently seeking a Director of Perioperative Services to lead the continued growth, development and provision of the Perioperative Services at The Wesley Hospital.

The Wesley Hospital, owned and operated by The Uniting Church under UCQ, is one of Australia’s largest private hospitals. With over 530 overnight beds, the hospital employs over 2,300 full time, part time and casual staff and offers a comprehensive range of clinical services across 35 areas of specialty with over 800 accredited referring specialists.

 

About you

 

As a strong leader, you will plan, direct and oversee the strategic and operational direction of the Perioperative Services and procedural departments in close consultation with the Director of Clinical Services and Nursing & Midwifery Executive Team.

 

This role has a strong business development focus, working to build and maintain strong, collaborative and effective relationships with our Visiting Medical Officers. In order to facilitate this, you will bring exceptional relationship skills in managing key clinical and non-clinical stakeholders. Your leadership, team-development and influencing skills, your demonstrated success in change-management, and your financial acumen are essential.

 

Your comprehensive clinical experience and capacity to manage a large service within a complex private hospital environment will be essential.
