Remuneration Value:  Level 2, $27.25 - $29.83 p/hour (FTE $53,846 - $58,944), 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging

 

Buderim Private Hospital are inviting applications from experienced Orderlies to apply for Permanent Part-Time role available within the Theatre Unit.

About The Role:

Working within the Theatre team, you will be responsible for: 

  • Ensuring patient safety during procedures and transfers;
  • Handling of hospital equipment according to manufacturer’s and hospital instructions;
  • Demonstrating safe manual handling techniques and the effective use of mechanical lifting aids;
  • Understanding hospital emergency procedures;
  • Following hospital guidelines in relation to Infection Control, including hand washing and waste disposal;
  • Assisting nursing team members with various patient procedures. 

This permanent part-time role will see you working a base roster of 8 hours per week.  

 

Ideally, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following criteria:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work as part of a team with or without supervision;
  • Ability to perform under pressure and prioritise workload;
  • Availability to work across a rotating roster
  • Previous experience in an Orderly position within an acute hospital or pre-operative setting.

Selection Criteria Essential: Are you available to work a 24/7 rotating roster?
