UnitingCare Health is one of the largest not-for-profit private hospital groups in Queensland and is a service group of UnitingCare Queensland. The hospital group is a major provider of healthcare services in Queensland which operates almost 1000 licensed hospital beds and employs over 4200 people.
The Pharmacy team pride themselves on clinical expertise, patient care and professionalism. Responsible for Inpatient Pharmacy services, the team work towards best practice in patient care. We currently have an opportunity for a Pharmacist to join the UnitingCare Health Pharmacy team. The role will be responsible for clinical pharmacist services located at The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital.
Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, as Pharmacist you will be accountable for:
- Provision and distribution of Pharmacy Services to ward areas;
- Undertaking client medication history interviews, , medication reconciliation on admission and discharge, formulation of pharmaceutical care plans including providing expert advice to patients and other health professionals;
- Supervise and participate in discharge planning, including meetings, discharge medication counselling for clients;
- Managing and participating in the operations and control of pharmaceutical stock;
- Other duties as directed by the Pharmacy Manager.
Ideally, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following criteria:
- Current Pharmacist registration with AHPRA;
- Active membership of a relevant professional organisation;
- Demonstrated experience as a registered Pharmacist in a private hospital setting would be highly regarded, but not essential;
- A passion for providing outstanding customer service is essential;
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends;
- Be an active and enthusiastic member of our pharmacy team;
- Be prepared to uphold the values and mission of Uniting Care Health.
