Position Summary

We currently have the opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional to join the team at St Stephens Hospital as our Team Leader for Housekeeping.

 

Your Role:

 

As a pivotal part of our Hotel Services team, this role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the housekeeping team, ensuring an exceptional standard of customer service and an outstanding patient experience.

 

You will be responsible for recruitment, rostering, training and development, environmental services auditing, performance appraisals and coordination of linen and waste management services. Through your leadership skills, you will develop a cooperative, positive and encouraging environment that collaborates effectively alongside our ward and theatre teams.  

 

This is a permanent full time opportunity, working a base roster of 38 hours p/week. As a Level 2 Support Services role, we offer $25.94-$27.89 p/hour + Super commensurate with your experience. We also offer access to competitive not-for-profit salary packaging designed to increase your take-home pay.

 

Your Background:

 

As an experienced hospitality/housekeeping professional, your previous roles within a 5+ star hotel environment have equipped you with the skills, knowledge and experience to provide an exceptional standard of service to your customers.

 

You are a capable supervisor, with strong communication and proven people leadership skills. Your ability to manage conflicting priorities ensures that your team operates effectively to deadlines.

 

You demonstrate: 

  • Cert III Hospitality – Accommodation Services (Front House & Housekeeping)
  • Experience working within a 5 star hotel environment
  • Previous leadership experience with capability to motivate team
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service

Selection Criteria Essential: Certificate III in Hospitality - Accommodation Services (Front Office and Housekeeping)
Essential: Previous experience in a 5 star hotel in a similar role
Essential: Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
Essential: Good attention to detail and efficient working style
Essential: Experience in a supervisory or management role is a must
Essential: 5 star standards - nothing less!
