What We’re Offering:

 

We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Clinical Nurse to our Cooinda Mental Health Service Unit, to assist with the Intake, Triage and Discharge accountabilities. This role would be a base roster of 25 hours p/week. .

 

A diverse role, you will apply your interpersonal skills in building relationships with GP’s and NGO’s, working in conjunction with service coordinators to facilitate appropriate admission and  transition from the acute care setting  back into their day to day life with appropriate support. Further, you will engage empathetically with families and the multi-disciplinary team to facilitate appropriate discharge outcomes.

 

You will apply your strong clinical assessment skills, and make sound decisions in assessing appropriateness for admission, ensuring that we maintain and build consultative relationships, with Health Providers in the community.

 

 To be considered, you must demonstrate: 

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ post graduate experience, with at least 2 years’ experience in an Acute Mental Health setting
  • Strong clinical skills and the effective application of clinical and patient centred care
  • Clinical assessment experience with sound decision making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor of Nursing Degree or equivalent, working towards a Post Graduate Qualification
