The Wesley Hospital are currently inviting internal applications for a new Clinical Nurse Consultant opportunity on their Surgical Ward (5EC)

As a Clinical Nurse Consultant you will be responsible for the advancement of nursing care for our Surgical patients through applying your clinical experience, education, knowledge and expertise in this discipline.

You will promote exceptional patient care in Surgical, whilst assessing and responding appropriately to clinical nursing issues and concerns. Based on your experience, you will assisting with providing supervision and guidance within a multi-disciplinary team, through effective decision making and support.

Your Background:

You will be an experienced Clinical Nurse, passionate in the development of best-practice Surgical clinical care. You will demonstrate a commitment to delivering person-centred care through living our values and present with:

• Well-developed communication and customer service skills
• Minimum 5 years cumulative post-registration nursing experience in Surgical
• Previous experience coordinating care provision with large team
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities through problem solving whilst remaining patient-focused
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Remuneration value: Level 3 position, $51.53-$57.93 p/h (FTE $101, 823 - $114, 469), 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging benefit + cumulative study leave.

This role will be appointed at 48 hours p/fornight.
