  • Permanent Remuneration Value: $27.36 -$28.74 (FTE $54, 063 - $56, 790), 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging + penalty rates for night and weekend shifts
  • Casual Remuneration Value: Above hourly rate + 9.5% employee contribution to super +23% casual loading + penalty rates for night and weekend shifts

 

St Andrews War Memorial Hospital is currently inviting applications from Administration Clerks for positions in their Emergency Centre.

    

About the Role:

We're seeking Administration Clerks to join our Emergency Centre. We have opportunities available for both Permanent Part-Time (40-70 hours per fortnight) and Casual (offering 10-30 hours per fortnight). You will need to be available to work a 24/7 rotating roster (6, 8 and 12-hour shifts), including night and weekend shifts.

 

As an Administration Clerk you will be responsible for front office clerical functions including reception, pre-admissions, admissions, discharges and switchboard PABX.

 

The successful candidates will present with:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Medicare/Private Health Fund and third party pay structures
  • Previous experience with medical billing
  • Experience in administration and customer service, preferably within a healthcare environment
  • High level data entry and word processing skills, specifically within Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to demonstrate empathy with patients
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding patient information  
  • Must be available to work a 24/7 roster – 6, 8 and 12 hour shifts on a rotating roster including night and weekend shifts
