St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital is seeking an expression of interest from current employees for the following role –

• Assistant Director of Nursing

The position reports to Director of Nursing and is responsible for the coordination and development of care delivery services, the effective managment of nursing staff, material resources and strategic planning.

To perform the duties of this role you will need to:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse;
• A minimum of five years post graduate experience in both clinical and senior nursing managerial positions;
• Post-graduate management qualifications;
• Knowledge of clinical practice legislation and health industry trends;
• Proficient n the use of Tredcare patient and nurse dependency system;
• Knowledge of risk management principles and medico legal management;
• Ability to design and contribute  toward the hospital strategic action plan, including monitoring of key performance indicators;
• Ability to manage change in a multidisciplinary service environment;
• Ability to manage operational and capital budgets;
• High level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
