With 524 beds, The Wesley Hospital provides tertiary level medical and surgical services across 30 specialty areas including cardiology, urology, neurosurgery, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, maternity and women’s health. These services are supported by an intensive care unit, coronary care unit, cardiac catheter theatres, 24-hour emergency centre, renal dialysis, radiology, radiation therapy, pathology, pharmacy services, IVF, haematology and oncology services.

 

We are currently seeking to appoint a Prosthetics Officer to our Supply Team in a Permanent Full Time capacity

As a key support function to the Theatre team, you will maintain the prosthetics supply inventory across the theatre unit, ensuring that prosthetic billing and purchase orders are accurately completed within timeframes.

You will be responsible for:

  • Acting as  key port of call between Theatre and the main supply team
  • Working collaboratively and proactively to deliver an effective service to Theatre
  • Maintaining an effective and efficient prosthetic inventory management system (MRP) and stock control in Theatre.
  • Maintaining prosthetic billing and purchase order records
  • Assist Theatre CNM with basic product information and ordering as per requirements
  • Proactively ensuring service standards and products are maintained and continuously improved upon

With previous experience in a supply role within a hospital or healthcare environment, you will have exceptional communication skills and a commitment to providing a high standard of service in your role. You will have a proven track record of proactively problem solving issues through to resolution and be confident in handling time-pressures.

You will be a motivated individual, who is comfortable working autonomously, as well as in a wider team, and enjoy the opportunity to utilise your initiative day to day. You’ll be comfortable with change, and understand the flexibility that a role in supply requires when meeting day to day demands.

 

You’ll have previous experience working within systems (preferably SAP).
