Position Summary

St Stephen's Hospital in Hervey Bay is Australia's first fully integrated digital hospital. Serving the Fraser Coast region since October 2014, the $96 million facility includes services such as cardiac, oncology, gynaecology, urology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, women’s health, mental health as well as a new purpose built rehabilitation service.


As the only not-for-profit hospital service on the Fraser Coast, St Stephens cared for nearly 7000 residents of the Fraser Coast last year, and remains committed to employing compassion, care, honesty and integrity in every aspect of their services.


Your Role:


Due to an internal career development, we are pleased to invite applications for a new Clinical Nurse, Coronary Care Unit.


As part of our Medical Ward, you will provide exceptional patient care in the areas of your clinical expertise whilst assessing and responding appropriately to clinical nursing issues and concerns.


Based on your experience, you will assisting with providing supervision and guidance within a multi-disciplinary team, through effective decision making and support.


We are offering both permanent full time and part time, dependent on availability.


Your Background:


You will be an experienced Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years within a Coronary/Intensive Care environment. You will demonstrate a passion for delivering person-centred care through living our values. You will present with:

  • Well-developed communication and customer service skills
  • Previous experience coordinating care provision with large team
  • Complex problem-solving and assessment skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and remain patient-focused under pressure
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

Remuneration Value: Level 2 position, $44.14-$47.29 p/h (FTE $87, 220 - $93, 445), 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging benefit + cumulative study leave.
