St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital is a 250 bed facility in Spring Hill. Facilities at St Andrew’s include 15 theatres, three cardiology catheter laboratories, endoscopy suites, an intensive care unit and emergency centre. St Andrew’s is a world leader in patient outcomes for many of our specialties. We achieve this by attracting the best staff and medical practitioners and carefully auditing and improving on the outcomes of our treatments.

The Rehabilitation Unit currently has a vacancy for an Enrolled Nurse to join the team.  You will provide outstanding service to our patients recovering from injury, illness or surgery. You will also be part of a team who are passionate about delivering patient-focused care.  As an Enrolled Nurse you will be responsible for: 

• Accountability for nursing care delegated by the Registered Nurse;
• Application of the principles of clinical and workplace risk management;
• Applying sound clinical practice which ensures a safe environment and promotes optimal patient health;
• Utilises customer service principles to exceed customer expectations;
• Effectively exchanges information with the Registered Nurse regarding patient responses to treatment and nursing care;
• Demonstrates effective communication skills and works as part of the nursing team. 

Ideally, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following criteria: 

• General registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
• Medication endorsement and the ability to administer IV medication;
•  Minimum of one year experience in a high acuity hospital environment;
• Previous experience in a rehabilitation unit will be highly regarded;
•  Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to work as part of a team;
•  Organisation and time management skills.
