The role

We are currently seeking a Performance and Consolidation Analyst to provide strategic performance analysis and expertise in supporting the effective consolidation, management and innovation of the financial planning and analysis functions.

 

Reporting to the Manager Performance and Consolidation, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing consolidated monthly and annual performance analysis, advice and reporting;
  • Ensuring the provision of timely, accurate and appropriate financial information;
  • Developing and providing analysis and modelling of UCQ’s financial performance including reporting, budgeting, forecasting and projected financial position;
  • Coordinating the annual budget process, including long term planning and subsequent revised forecasts;
  • Preparing timely, accurate and meaningful budget and forecasting reporting for the UCQ Board of directors and Executive leadership;
  • Actively participate in related projects in accordance with strategic business requirements, ensuring any new policy and procedures are developed, documented and implemented successfully.

About you

As the successful applicant you will possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Relevant qualifications in an accounting, business or related field;
  • CA or CPA qualified;
  • Demonstrated experience as a Performance Analyst or management accounting role focussed on financial consolidation in a medium to large organisation;
  • High level knowledge and ability in the application of financial software solutions such as SAP, AX Dynamics 2009 or 2012 and BI reporting systems;
  • Strong financial and accounting competency with knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and legislation, sound reconciliation ability and advanced understand of financial statement relationships;
  • Strong business process modelling and analysis capability;
  • Highly developed organisational, interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills with a variety of stakeholders.

An understanding of the framework, principles and obligations relating to the aged care, health and/or community services sectors and the not for profit sector would be advantageous but not essential.
