Employment Status: Casual, permanent part-time & permanent full-time opportunities

Classification: Registered Nurse – Level 1

Remuneration Value:  $35.42- $45.53 p/h (FTE $69, 989 - $89, 967), 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5 % annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging benefit + cumulative study leave.

 

For casuals: $35.42- $45.53 p/h (FTE $69, 989 - $89, 967) + 9.5% employee contribution to super + 23% casual loading

About Your Role:

An experienced Theatre nurse, you will play a critical role in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of the patient. You will recognise and respond to the changing needs of the patient, and pre-empt and protect their rights and safety through strong patient advocacy.

 

You’ll be an advocate for person-centred care, leading by example through exceptional communication and customer service. You’ll present with:

  • 12 months experience within a Perioperative PACU setting
  • Complex problem-solving and assessment skills
  • Current Paediatric and Adult Post of Recovery Experience
  • Availability to work a 24/7 rotating roster
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development 
  • Ability to work supportively within a team environment and adapt to change
  • Current and unconditional AHPRA registration

Selection Criteria Essential: Current Paediatric and Adult Post of Recovery Experience
Essential: Must have unlimited working entitlements in Australia as an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or New Zealand Passport Holder
Essential: Available to work a flexible roster.
Essential: 12 months experience in an acute care setting
Essential: Ability to work supportively within a team and adapt to change
Essential: Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate respectfully and thoughtfully with patients, carers and other staff.
