Expressions of interest are invited from highly motivated and committed Registered or Clinical Nurses for appointment to the position of Clinical Nurse Educator. This is a permanent part-time role working across both specialties Coronary Care and Intensive Care.

 

The key responsibility of this position is to provide support to both novice and experienced nurses to further develop their skills in Coronary Care and Intensive Care nursing. The position also includes developing education programs to advance nursing skills, reviewing policies and procedures, and supporting student nurses undertaking placements.

 

The successful applicant will meet the essential following criteria:

  • Registered Nurse with current  AHPRA registration;
  • Bachelor of Nursing and or relevant post graduate qualifications;
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or working toward);
  • Recent experience within the specialised setting of Coronary Care and Intensive Care (greater than 3 years experience in this specialty is preferred);
  • Proven leadership with mentorship skills for new staff and students;
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and to work unsupervised;
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communication and leadership skills;
  • Demonstrated computer and digital literacy skills. 

Desirable skills

  • Post graduate qualifications in education (or similar);
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, manage and assess educational   programs, competencies and resources.
