St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital is a 250 bed facility in Spring Hill. St Andrew’s is a world leader in patient outcomes for many of our specialties. We achieve this by attracting the best staff and medical practitioners and carefully auditing and improving on the outcomes of our treatments.

 

The Health Information Systems team pride themselves on providing timely and exceptional customer service. Responsible for medical record management, clinical coding and medicolegal the team work towards continuous improvement.

We currently have an opportunity for a Clinical Coder to join the team. Responsible for accurate and timely clinical classification, we are seeking a motivated and professional coder who can bring knowledge and experience to the team. In return you will be met by a friendly team who work hard to achieve shared goals.

 

Ideally, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years clinical coding experience in a private health care setting or equivalent
  • Clinical coder certification with HIMMA or equivalent
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team
  • Have a diverse coding experience including Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgery and Vascular Surgery
  • AHPRA registration or previous medical experience (highly regarded)
