Position Summary

The Wesley Hospital is one of Queensland’s largest private, tertiary hospitals and proudly services over 80,000 patients from Australia and overseas annually.

 

Established in 1977, The Wesley has grown to be a ‘magnet hospital’ attracting and retaining highly qualified and caring staff. With 538 beds, the hospital employs over 2300 full-time, part-time and casual staff, providing values based holistic care to patients and their families.

 

Your Role:

 

Due to internal career development, we are pleased to invite applications for the role of Administration Coordinator to our Quality and Safety Unit.

 

You will liaise with individuals internal and external to the Wesley on behalf of the team, whilst providing efficient and high-level organisational and administrative assistance through a diverse range of duties including:

 

  • Key support to Manager, Quality & Safety including management of all communication and correspondence, diary management and travel arrangements
  • Developing, coordinating and maintaining Quality & Safety Unit’s information technology systems including RiskMan, Medico legal spreadsheet, insurance claims, policies and more
  • Minute taking, collating and distributing all relevant information for meetings
  • Coordination of correspondence and medical records for QASM, OHO, AHPRA and other relevant bodies
  • Effective management of filing system, medical records and archiving for unit.

Your Background:

 

You will have previous, well-developed skills within an administrative environment as either a team administrator or personal assistant within a hospital or healthcare environment.

 

You will be a confident and competent administrative professional, experienced in corresponding on behalf of leaders, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

You will be an effective operator, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to efficiently managing your work whilst dealing with competing priorities and deadlines on a daily basis.

 

With previous hospital experience, you will have well-rounded knowledge of hospital quality and safety procedures, as well as the numerous factors that surround these including confidentiality, customer service and accreditation.

Remuneration Value: Level 6 position, $36.08 p/hour (FTE $71, 294), 9.5% employee contribution to super, 17.5% annual leave loading + not for profit salary packaging + discounted employee parking

 

This is full time, permanent position working 76 hours p/fortnight.
