Position Summary

As Australia’s first fully digital hospital, St Stephen’s gives the Wide Bay community access to one of the country’s most advanced healthcare facilities. An innovative non-for-profit regional hospital, we’re small enough to provide individualised care, but large enough to cover a majority of health needs – offering access to the best specialists with minimal waiting. In the midst of this state-of-the-art facility, it’s our commitment to person-centred care that truly sets us apart.

Together, you’ll go places.

We’re currently inviting applications from several enthusiastic and skilled New Graduate Occupational Therapists passionate about patient-centred care to join our Allied Health team in 12 month fixed term, full time capacity.

With a focus on delivering high-quality, clinical care to patients within an acute setting, you will work alongside a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary Allied Health team to deliver exceptional person-centred outcomes.

As a new Graduate, you’ll recognise the importance of multi-disciplinary approaches to rehabilitation, bringing an open, collaborative approach to patient-centred care. You’ll bring a flexible and dynamic approach to your role with:

  • Commitment to applying best practice, patient-centred care
  • Evidence of a strong level of clinical problem solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Commitment to ongoing development of skills
  • Exceptional time-management skills, with ability to prioritise patient load

We offer the unique prospect of stepping into a supportive, close-knit team environment, characteristic of regional hospital, without sacrificing state-of-the-art facilities and technology offered by fully-integrated digital healthcare.
