UnitingCare Health is one of the largest not-for-profit private hospital groups in Queensland and is a service group of UnitingCare Queensland. The hospital group is a major provider of healthcare services in Queensland which operates almost 1000 licensed hospital beds and employs over 4200 people.

With 524 beds, The Wesley Hospital provides tertiary level medical and surgical services across 30 specialty areas including cardiology, urology, neurosurgery, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, maternity, women’s health and Paediatrics. These services are supported by an intensive care unit, coronary care unit, cardiac catheter theatres, 24-hour emergency centre, renal dialysis, radiology, radiation therapy, pathology, pharmacy services, IVF, haematology and oncology services.

Wesley Paediatrics is a continuously growing service providing level 4 general and specialist medical and surgical services to our children from 0-18 years. We care for acutely ill and chronic long term children. Our paediatric ward accommodates short to long term overnight admissions as well as day cases. We have a day of surgery admission service and offer day surgery post operative care within the Paediatric Department.

The service is supported by:

• An experienced team of paediatric nurses including CNM, Educator, CNC's and RN's;
• A team of Paediatricians;
• Paediatric medical and surgical specialists ;
• 24 hour RMO cover;
• Paediatric dietician, physiotherapists and other allied health professionals;
• 24 hour Wesley Emergency Centre;
• Paediatric specialist consulting rooms on site.

We are looking for experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Registered Nurses with recent acute paediatric experience to join our friendly and welcoming team.  To enjoy and thrive in this role you will need to be flexible, adapt to changes and growth in the service and be a positive change agent. You will enjoy working within a team and have excellent communication skills  with colleagues, children, adolescents and their families. You will also be committed to continued professional development and upholding  and living the Wesley values of respect, compassion, justice, leading through learning and working together.
