With 96 patient beds, the state-of-the-art ‘hospital of the future’ provides vital medical and surgical services to the Fraser Coast and is the first hospital in Australia to showcase the future of how technology can transform the healthcare experience. As a registered not-for-profit facility, St Stephen’s is committed to re-investing surplus funds for the development of the hospital, its services and its employees.
We are currently seeking applications from Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses for our newly established Rehabilitation service. As a Rehabilitation Nurse, you will be accountable for:

Applying sound clinical pracitive which ensures a safe environment and promotes optimal patient health within the Rehabilitation Unit;

Applying the principles of clinical and workplace risk management;

Effectively communicatiing inforamtion regarding patient responses to treatment and nursing care;

Collaborating with other health professionals and coordination of patient care;

Appropriate allocation of staff and delegation of work within the Rehabilitation Unit;

Utilising customer service principles to exceed customer expectations;

Complying with UCH policy and National Safety and Quality standards.
Ideally, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following criteria:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
- Demonstrated experience within an acute care setting is highly desirable;
- Qualifications in, or working towards, nursing qualifications in Rehabilitation will be highly regarded;
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and to work unsupervised;
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and leadership skills;
- Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles related to surgical and medical care;
- Ability to work across all shifts.
