The Wesley Hospital is one of Queensland's largest private hospitals. With over 530 beds, the hospital offers a comprehensive range of clinical services across 35 areas of specialty with over 800 accredited referring specialists.

 

The Food Service Department is one of the most dynamic divisions of the hospital. We are currently seeking highly motivated team members, with demonstrated experience in a hospitality environment and a strong customer service focus to join our Gown and Glove Restaurant team.

As the Restaurant Attendant your responsibilities will include:

  • Efficient collection of meal trays and other customer service activities;
  • Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and service throughout the Restaurant;
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of HACCP principles in accordance with the Wesley food safety program;
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of PPE requirements and safety procedures;
  • Other duties as directed as directed by Food Services Management.

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Excellent communication skills and be able to work with limited supervision;    
  • Experience using an espresso coffee machine, preferably within a café or coffee shop;
  • Experience handling cash, preferably using touch screen point of sale terminals;
  • Able to demonstrate a professional presentation and attitude;
  • Be fully conversant with all aspects of safe food handling standards;
  • Possess flexibility to work across a 7-day roster – AM and PM shifts.
