With 524 beds, The Wesley Hospital provides tertiary level medical and surgical services across 30 specialty areas including cardiology, urology, neurosurgery, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, maternity and women’s health. These services are supported by an intensive care unit, coronary care unit, cardiac catheter theatres, 24-hour emergency centre, renal dialysis, radiology, radiation therapy, pathology, pharmacy services, IVF, haematology and oncology services.
As a major private hospital we have a diverse casemix with approximately 5000 separations a month. We currently have a number of vacancies for enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Coders to join our dynamic team.

To be successful in this position you will have:
- Successful completion of a recognised ICD-10-AM coding course with achievement of a high standard of accuracy;
- Practical knowledge of and experience in the current disease classification and its use within the hospital setting;
- Knowledge of casemix implications and requirements;
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communication and organisation skills including the ability to liaise with a range of health professionals;
- Participated in Continuous Quality Improvement Activities and Initiatives;
- Previous experience with the 3M encoder software (preferable).
