Position Summary |
Employment Status – 4 Month Fixed Term, Full Time
Location – Allied Health, The Wesley Hospital

The Wesley Hospital are inviting internal applications for the role of Rehabilitation Lead in a 4 month fixed term capacity.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will partner with Head of Professions, Clinical Nurse Managers, and Hospital leaders to achieve first class interdisciplinary care, focused on person-centred outcomes.
You will provide leadership and clinical governance guidance, ensuring rehabilitation services are delivered safely, appropriately, efficiently and responsively. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will be an advocate for change and the advancement of allied health services across facilities.
As an experienced practitioner, you will be highly skilled in your field of Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy, with a passion for delivering best-practice clinical care.
Your approach to person-centred care aligns closely to our values, with strong interpersonal communication skills and an ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary approach to care. Further, your communication skills have further equipped you with an ability to build strong partnerships with VMP's and CNM's - enabling you to build a solid understanding of the complexities of hospital casemix and complex case coordination.
With a minimum of 5 years clinical experience within an acute setting, your proven leadership skills position you as a capable people leader, with an ability to form and develop a multi-disciplinary team and effectively lead organisational improvements.
You demonstrate:
- Strong discharge planning skills
- Understanding of AROC and data analysis
- Sound knowledge of private health fund contracts
- Ability to provide multi-disciplinary counsel and mentoring to junior staff
- Involvement in clinical governance skills and quality assurance activities
