St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital is a 250 bed facility in Spring Hill. Facilities at St Andrew’s include 15 theatres, three cardiology catheter laboratories, endoscopy suites, an intensive care unit and emergency centre. St Andrew’s is a world leader in patient outcomes for many of our specialties. We achieve this by attracting the best staff and medical practitioners and carefully auditing and improving on the outcomes of our treatments.
We currently have an exciting opening for Registered Nurses to join our Cardiac Catheter Theatre team in a permanent full-time, part time or casual role. This is an ideal opportunity to demonstrate your professional experience and play a leading role in providing outstanding patient-centred care for The St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital. The role will be responsible for:
- Clinical leadership implementing organisational and ward objectives;
- Demonstrating application of principles of clinical and workplace risk management as well as knowledge of incident notification and follow-up;
- Applying clinical practice which ensures a safe environment and promotes optimal patient outcomes;
- Effectively communicating information regarding patient responses and care to the nursing team;
- Utilising customer service principles to exceed patient expectations.
Ideally, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following criteria:
- Bachelor of Nursing degree from a recognised tertiary institution;
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA);
- Demonstrated Cardiac Catheter Theatre experience and post graduate experience;
- The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team;
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills;
- Effective communication and time management skills;
- Be prepared to uphold the values and mission of Uniting Care Health.
