St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital is a 250 bed facility in Spring Hill. Facilities at St Andrew’s include 15 theatres, three cardiology catheter laboratories, endoscopy suites, an intensive care unit and emergency centre. St Andrew’s is a world leader in patient outcomes for many of our specialties. We currently have an opportunity for a Switchboard Operator to join our Patient Administration team.  The Switchboard Operator is responsible for the daily operation of the hospital swithboard communication system, answering and connecting all external and internal calls, co-ordination of maintenance and training for the telephone and paging system, and providing administrative support to the Patient Administration Manager.

Ideally, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following criteria:

•  Experience in using PABX;
•  Excellent customer service skills;
•  Well developed communication skills, both verbal and written;
•  Accurate data entry skills;
•  High level organisational skills and attention to detail.
