Position Summary |
St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital is a 250 bed facility in Spring Hill. Facilities at St Andrew’s include 15 theatres, three cardiology catheter laboratories, endoscopy suites, an intensive care unit and emergency centre. St Andrew’s is a world leader in patient outcomes for many of our specialties. We achieve this by attracting the best staff and medical practitioners and carefully auditing and improving on the outcomes of our treatments.
The Credentialing Office prides themselves on providing exception service to VMPs and Allied Health Professionals seeking accreditation. We currently have an opportunity for a Credentialing and Executive Assistant to join the team. This role will provide support to the Director of Medical Services and be responsible for the day to day administrative support of the credentialing and administration function.
The role will be responsible for ensuring all documentation and processes are compliant with the UnitingCare Health By-Laws for Medical, Dental and Allied Health Practitioners and associated policies and procedures, and the requirements of the Health Quality and Complaints Commission, Queensland Health Private Hospital Licensing Unit and the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare, Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency and other legislative bodies. In addition, it is the purpose of the role to build and maintain good relationships within the VMP community as well as with those throughout the hospital’s various departments.
Ideally, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in providing personal assistant/administration support at an executive level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to prepare internal and external corporate documents for the DSM and the Medical Advisory Committee meetings
- Established principles and processes in customer service and personal management with professional level verbal and written skills
- Experience in the management of databases and monitoring of accreditation status of Medical, Dental and Allied Health Practitioners.
- High level of proficiency in planning, coordination and time management skills
- Ability to work in a team and contribute to outcomes
- Advanced problem solving skills
- Highly professional approach to liaising and nurturing relationships with stakeholders, including VMP’s and external customers
- Advanced understanding of relevant legislation and by-laws
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
