Employment Term: Permanent Full Time or Part Time

Location: Auchenflower, just 5 mins from Toowong Shopping Village and 10 mins from Brisbane City

Remuneration: $40.25 - $55.93 /hr + 11% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

Your part in The Wesley Hospital team

 

You will provide an excellent mammographic service to women as a member of an integrated, multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses and imaging staff in The Wesley Hospital Breast Clinic. You will work empathetically with patients in routine daily procedures on a continuing basis

 

Duties include:

  • Competent performance of diagnostic and screening mammograms of the highest diagnostic value using the lowest possible radiation dose.
  • Adherence to procedures and documentation provided for each examination.
  • Adherence to established radiation hygiene practices, radiation safety and workplace health and safety to ensure personal, patient and team safety.
  •  Demonstration of a good understanding of the philosophy of breast cancer screening and the diagnosis of breast disease.
  • Demonstration of excellent patient care and maintenance of patient confidentiality.
  • Compliant with relevant UCH and local clinical policies, procedure and guidelines.
  • Demonstration of the necessary interpersonal skills to support anxious patients in a reassuring and confident manner. 

What makes a difference for us?

 

·         Registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (AHPRA)

·         Possession of diagnostic “Radiation Use “ licence from Queensland Health as per Radiation Safety Act, 1999.

·         Possession of or be eligible to apply for a Certificate of Mammographic Practice within twelve months from the Australian Society of Medical   Imaging and Radiation Therapy.

·         Qualifications acceptable for membership of the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
